Commissioning a Sefer Torah

A Sefer Torah takes 12–18 months for a single Sofer to complete. On Kodesh, patrons follow the work in real time — photos of every column, milestones by Chumash, and letter-by-letter dedications.

Sponsorship tiers

• A letter — $18 or $180, entry point for the whole community.
• A verse (Pasuk) — around $500.
• A column (Amud) — around $1,800, a lasting family memorial.
• A Parasha — larger commitments from major patrons.

Hachnasat Sefer Torah

When the last letters are written — traditionally by the patrons themselves — the community escorts the new Torah to its Aron Kodesh with music and dancing. Kodesh helps coordinate the ceremony worldwide.
